CLSU Enters the THE Asia University Rankings 2024 with a Reporter Status
Central Luzon State University (CLSU) breaks into the Asia University Rankings of the Times Higher Education (THE) with a ‘Reporter Status’ along with eight other Philippine Universities after submitting data on 18 performance indicators based on World University Rankings, calibrated to align with the unique attributes of Asia’s academic landscape. Released last April 30, the PH universities were evaluated across all their core missions – research quality (30%), research environment (28%), teaching (24.5%), industry (10%) and international outlook (7.5%) – to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available with Ateneo De Manila University hailed as the top Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the country after securing a spot at the top 401-500 bracket, followed by De La Salle University (501-600), University of the Philippines (501-600), Mapua University and University of Santo Tomas both under 601+ bracket. Other HEIs that received a ‘reporter status’ are the following: Cebu Technological University; Mariano Marcos State University; Mindanao State University -Iligan Institute of Technology; Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology; Tarlac Agricultural University; University of Eastern Philippines; University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines; and Visayas State University. Among the 739 universities, Tsinghua University was hailed as the top university in Asia.
